Safe Schools: Ideas Book for Students The Ontario Ministry of Education offers a clear, practical guide for students who are interested in enhancing the safety of their schools. Includes topics such as developing a safe school student committee, conducting a school safety audit, and promoting students' plans.

School-based Violence Prevention Programs This Alberta Resource was developed to identify school-based programs that prevent violence against girls and young women, the primary targets of much abused including dating violence, sexual assault and sexual harassment. However, in light of the deaths of students in schools in Columbine, Colorado and Tabor, Alberta in Canada, serious concerns about bullying and youth aggression at schools has come to the fore. As such, this resource manual presents school-based violence prevention programs that are relevant for girls and boys, youth women and young men.

The National Resource Center for Safe Schools (Portland, OR) provides a clear, sensible approach to violence prevention. Teachers, administrators, parents and students are offered strategies and suggestions.
