In the spring of 2006, the Province of Manitoba and Safe Schools Manitoba held a series of conferences for middle years students. Participants from all regions of the province indicated that they would like to learn more about drug and alcohol abuse. A wealth of information has been complied for middle and senior years students in an effort to heighten awareness of drug and alcohol abuse.

An increased understanding of these problems is a first step toward prevention.
