  • IF you are a victim or know someone who is a victim of cyber bullying or cyber stalking:

    • DO NOT attempt to deal with it on your own - tell a trusted adult.
    • DO NOT reply to the messages.
    • BLOCK the sender’s messages.
    • DO NOT delete the messages. Save them to use as evidence. Show a trusted adult.
    • DO NOT open message from unknown sources.
    • Contact your service provider.
    • Have your parents contact the school to gain their support and assistance.
    • Report ALL incidents of a criminal nature; for example, threats to your safety, to the police immediately.
    • Protect your privacy - NEVER give out personal information such as your name, address, telephone number, passwords, photos of yourself, etc.

     

    ARE you a cyber bully? Ask yourself the following questions:

    • Why do you think you choose to hurt others?
    • How would you feel if someone cyber bullied you or one of your friends?
    • If an investigation occurs, and your identity is revealed, how will people who care about you feel about your actions?
    • Are you aware that some cases of cyber bullying are against the law?
