  • Be safe at home…

    • Never open the door to someone you don’t know.
    • Do not talk to strangers on the telephone.
    • Call 911 in an emergency.
    • Talk to a parent or a trusted adult if someone makes you feel confused, confused, uncomfortable or scared.

     

     

    Be safe outside…

    • Always play in a safe place with others.
    • Let your parents know where you are, who you are with and when you will be home.
    • Tell a trusted adult right away if your friends are doing something that you know is wrong or dangerous.
    • Never go anywhere with a stranger.
    • Tell a trusted adult right away if someone makes you feel confused, scared or uncomfortable.
    • Call 911 in an emergency.

     

     

    Be safe at school …

    • When riding your bike or walking to and from school, always go with others.
    • If you take a bus, wait at the bus stop with others.
    • Know where the Block Parents homes are in your neighbourhood.
    • Ignore an adult who asks you for directions on the street.
    • Take a safe route to and from school.
    • Never go close to a car or take a ride from someone you don’t know.
    • Go to a teacher or another trusted adult right away if you hear or see someone being hurt.
    • Tell a trusted adult right away if someone makes you feel confused, scared uncomfortable.
